Pokemon Sword:
The Crow Tundra just released a few days ago. When I first arrived I met the boisterous Peony and his daughter Peonia. Peony wanted to take his daughter on one of his adventures but she didn't want to so she had me go with him instead. The Crown Tundra is split into 3 adventures. The first is about the legendary Calyrex who is the forgotten "king of bountiful harvest". After fixing the old statue of Calyrex in the small tundra town, Calyrex appeared and lured me to a secluded area. After being challenged to a battle by Calyrex, Peony showed up and was immediately possessed by the pokemon. Calyrex used Peony so he could speak the human language to communicate better. He explained that he's been forgotten throughout the years and is now just a myth no one believes. Because of this he's lost a lot of his power and has become weak. Calyrex asked me for help getting the town to remember his existence and to get his trusted steed back. This is where the first of two big choices appeared in this DLC. Calyrex's horse can be 1 of 2 pokemon. Glastrier the ice type or Spectrier the ghost type. I decided on Glastrier and helped Calyrex regain his power. Both Calyrex and Glastrier then allowed me to catch them. Calyrex has a fusion form with whatever horse you chose. You can have the Ice Rider or Shadow Rider form which is just Calyrex riding the horse.
The second adventure was about the Galarian legendary birds Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres. I found the three of them fighting by a huge berry tree. Unpon noticing me they fled and started roaming around. Unlike how roaming pokemon worked from previous games this time it was pretty different and much easier. In this game it was like a mini challenge and one you caught up to them they didn't flee the battle making catching them so much easier. Galarian Zapdos ran around a set area in the wild area of the galar region and you had to chase him down on your bike. He was fast but would eventually slow down for a break before zooming off again. Galarian Moltres was flying around the Isle of Armor. You just had to cut him off and whistle to get his attention. And finally Galarian Articuno was roaming the Crown Tundra. To catch him you had to race him to a area then he would make clones of himself. You had to pick the real one or else he'd fly away.
The final adventure was about the regi pokemon. I had to first catch Regirock, Regice, and Registeel at their corresponding temple in the crown tundra. Then by having them in my party I could enter the Split-Decision Ruins home of the 2 new regi pokemon. Inside I encountered the second big decision do I want Regieleki the electric type or Regidrago the dragon type. I chose Regieleki and caught it.
After all that the Galarian Star Tournament opened up where I can team up with another character to battle through the tournament. I also can catch legendary Pokemon from past games through Dynamax Adventures. Here you have to use rental pokemon and beat 3 Dynamax pokemon and then a random legendary. You can catch 1 pokemon per Dynamax Adventure. Luckily this isn't too challenging...that is if you use online to play with others. Doing it solo and expecting the computer controlled characters to be competent and not fuck it up isn't the best idea. The Crown Tundra also included something similar to the Diglett hunting from the previous DLC. Throughout the Crown Tundra you could find footprints for the Swords of Justice trio. By finding all the footprints for each you can find and catch Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion. Then after catching all 3 you can catch the mythical pokemon Keldeo.
