6/16/18Still haven't raised any tamagotchi. I haven't been doing much due to depression but I did make a few more tama video game guides. I came across a Japanese site that not only revealed in-detail how the mechanics of the first two tama gameboy games work but also a secret code. Turns out there are 2 hidden stats called Stress and Selfish that determine growth. In the first gameboy game if you press Down, Select, A at once on the status screen, they will be revealed. There is no way to view them in the 2nd GB game but they are still there. As for the 3rd GB game, I have no idea. It's by the same developer as the first 2 games but I tested and it doesnt seem to still work the same. With the information from the site, I made a guide for both gameboy games including a full growth chart with requirements. Was kinda irritated with this discovery. I had the first tamagotchi gameboy game since I was a child...20 years it's been out and just now I find this info. All those years of confusion and frustration with this game. Spyro Reignited Trilogy:Since I'm so obsessed with this Spyro remaster I'm giving it it's own section for now. E3 has come and gone, and there has been quite a lot of Spyro remaster images and info that has come out since my last post. At E3 there were 3 levels were available for people to play. They were Toasty, Tree Tops, and Sunny Flight. Theres been a TON of videos, gameplay screenshots, and concept art over this past month since my last update. I was going to load up my blog with most of the images but I decided to not go too crazy. Instead I decided to pick 1 image per level to show along with a batch of character concept art. And that's not all....the official cover art for the game has been revealed and it gives us our first look at the villains and some characters from Spyro 2 and 3! The sorceress looks exactly like you'd expect but Ripto looks a little.....unique. Not sure if I like Riptos new look or not...guess we'll have to wait and see how he will look in-game.

6/22/18So one of my all time favorite games has an improved version that I didnt know existed until just a day or two ago. Dragon Warrior Monsters 2: Cobi's Journey on the gameboy is one of my favorite games. I've played through this game so many times throughout the years as I own 2 copies of it. One copy has my main game that I've 100% (except for 1 monster I cant get due to not owning the 1st game) and my other copy I've used for starting new games. Unfortunately since these are gameboy games the batteries are probably almost dead by now...but I guess that's what emulators are for. There was a Nintendo 3ds remake of the game about 4-5 years ago that was Japanese only but I wanted to play it so bad I bought a Japanese 3ds and a copy of the game. This remake changed some major things tho. Like completely changing the monsters to collect, you encounter monsters on the field rather than random encounters, and the limitless randomized magic key worlds you can explore were removed and replaced with something less fun. This new improved version is Japanese only but for the Playstation 1. It contains both Dragon Warrior Monsters 1 and 2 games, with vastly better graphics, and some slight game changes from what I've seen so far. Luckily I've played the GB versions so much I know the story and what to do by heart (Plus I own the guidebook) so I'm thinking of playing through it. Not sure if it will be something I could blog about or not...we shall see.

7/10/18Stepmom came across the rare flocked light blue Tamagotchi 2017 Chibi for only $5 and I had her grab 4 more shells from series 2. I also forgot to mention I spent about $30 a few months back and got 2 series 3 Chibis. Wish I found them for $5 sooner...that's 1/3rd the price. I haven't opened any of them and I dont think I will....I have that White Japanese Chibi I got used so I think I'll stick to using that one. I believe it's the same exact characters as the US release. I especially dont want to open the rare flocked one...that thing will be a hair magnet with my 5 cats. It seems the original Tamagotchi P1 is finally being rereleased in the US with some new shells. Some images were leaked from gamestop. Most of the shells are pretty crappy but I like that rainbow one. Definitely going to try and get that one. They also found this Littlest Pet Shop virtual pet on the Facebook Marketplace for cheap a while back for under $10. I have yet to really mess with it. Spyro Reignited Trilogy:We finally got some Spyro 2 Riptos Rage stuff! Most of what has been shown so far is from the first homeworld Summer Forest. We got gameplay of the entire level Idol Springs, then some gameplay from Glimmer, Colossus, and Hurricos. We even got some concept art of Ripto.

7/30/18Been helping play test SA311's Tamagotchi fan game on PC. I've been keeping an eye on this project for awhile and it's just about done. Currently the final version is being tested. I also tested the previous version but I used that one to mess around with. Once I got the final version to test, I completely restarted and this will be what I'll be blogging about. Eternitchi - Tamagotchi PC:Before I get into my progress I'll talk a little about how the game works. The game is like a hybrid of an actual Tamagotchi and the gameboy games. It has both a real time clock and fast time setting. Since it's on PC the game only runs while you have the game open. This would normally make it take forever to grow depending on how you play but luckily whenever you open the game on a different date then last time, the game will automatically add +12 hours of growth. This both helps but can be a bit of a turn off. I cant help but think if it was a phone game app than ran constantly (like a real tamagotchi) that it would've been better. Growth and evolution mechanics on this can be complicated to understand at first. Theres 384 characters to raise that are split between 8 eggs and 4 Family types. The family types are similar to the V4/V4.5 theres No Family, then 3 "Pure" families: Mame, Meme, & Kuchi. Each of the 3 pure families have 2 skill points each. The eggs are split by Family type genes and each egg has 2 genes. The only way to obtain the best care pure family characters is to hatch a baby from the corresponding pure family egg. So to get the best care characters from the Mame family you will need to hatch the egg with 2 Mame family genes. You also cannot evolve your tama into a better care level than it is. Things that matter for evolution are care, weight (each growth stage should be around a certain weight), skill points, and if potty trained or not. I started my new file just yesterday. The only egg available to start is the Black egg which is gives No Family characters. I hatched both a male and female. I named the Babytchi Oliver and Shirobabytchi Kaylee. I played the game Coin Catch until I had enough money to buy all the skill point increasing toys I'll need. A bit later Oliver became a Tamatchi and Kaylee became a Kinakomotchi. I used toys to increase Oliver's skills mainly focusing on the Mame skills (Logic & Humor). As for Kaylee I want her to become a Whaletchi who is a worst care adult. So I'll need to keep her with almost nothing but a little Kindness skill points. I spent today potty training Oliver which can be done by catching them going potty 4 times between the child and teen stages. Once completed an icon will appear on the stats screen. Then for Kaylee I got her 4 care misses to ensure I'll get Whaletchi. Care misses are shown by the heart on the stats screen. Once empty you're tama will die.

7/31/18Eternitchi - Tamagotchi PC:My starting goal is to unlock the 7 other eggs. To do that I'll have to carefully raise my tamagotchi and marry them to other family characters for a chance at getting a new egg. The available eggs you can get by mating will be based on both tamas family genes. Both the Date Place and adults you meet at the park are usually bad care so I'll need to put in more effort. I took Oliver to the park and he met a baby Mamekotchi who I decided on will be his mate. Younger stage friends you meet at the park will grow along with your tama and will copy the care you give your tama. So if you raise a good care tama, its park friend will turn into a good care too. This only applies to friends you have met. To meet a friend and add it to your list you must click when they meet at the park. You can then do stuff with them anytime. In order to be able to marry them once an adult their friendship must be maxed. Fastest way is to visit them at the park, click exit, then reapeat. At 8pm when they were both asleep I used the skip to morning cheat and they evolved into teens. This cheat can be done anytime as long as all tamas are asleep. Just change to fast time, click the clock to skip to morning, change back to real time, then repeat. Oliver became Obotchi who is a middle care teen (but the highest care available from the black egg) and Kaylee became a Tomatchi who is a worst care. Oliver's park friend also evolved and became a child Shippokotchi. Now that I have teens the best money making game is unlocked, Darts. Darts is a Happiness game so it wont add skill points or decrease weight. It's a timing game but isnt too hard. Your score is how much money you get. You can make up to 500gp per game.
