Ocean:
Me and Dennis have been planning on raising the vintage ocean for a while now and we finally got to it. He started his yesterday while I started mine today. Not sure how this is going to go...I have no confidence that I'll be able to successfully raise one to adult. My first time raising the ocean I failed and rage quit. I gave it 2 tries. The first it died as a child I think. The 2nd time I made it to the teen stage and it just suddenly died for no reason on the day it was going to evolve into an adult. After that I just quit.

Ocean:
I'm amazed...I actually succeeded and on my first try to! He evolved into Keropyontchi today the best adult on the ocean. Dennis' evolved into an adult as well he got Taiyakitchi the 2nd best adult. So happy! Really didn't think I was going to make it. I was all prepared to bitch once I failed. Note: This lovely gif was made by Dennis.

It wasn't as frustrating as I remembered from last time. I remembered dealing with the octopus attacks constantly while playing the minigame. Didn't have as much this time only had about 1-3 per day. My first time I'd be attacked by the octopus then have it attack like 2 or 3 more times while trying to fill the happy hearts from the first attack. It was an endless loop of trying to fill the hearts only for that fucker to pop up and empty them again at the last minute.

This run I didn't miss any polar bear attacks, had full dicipline, and kept the hearts full. Not sure how long Keropyontchi will stick around so I'm going to take the best care possible.

Ocean:
Keropyontchi passed away on the 24th from a polar bear attack. He was 7 years, 20g, and full dicipline. I caught the attack and tried to chase him off but it didn't work this time. Managed to chase every other attack away but this time the polar bear was sick of my crap and attacked anyway. I honestly don't think I could of even saved him from that attack.

Started up my ocean again and had a horrible run. It died after a day. During the child stage I tried to skip 2 calls for dicipline and it went crazy afterwards. It stared getting sick and needing 5 doeses of medicine each time. In just 1 day ended up getting sick 3 times and needing about 15 doses to cure him total from the 3 times. He passed away the next day.

I restarted it again on Tuesday the 28th. Its still alive but I don't think it will survive until an adult. Hes 2 years, 5g, & full dicipline right now. Hes been needing medicine about 3-4 times each time he gets sick so I'm expecting him to die soon. Regardless I'm going to continue raising him and see what happens. After this ocean run I'm taking a break from it and raising something else. Its starting to get on my nerves dealing with the octopus attacks which have been appearing a lot more often. I need a break from it before I get to the point where I'm so frustrated I want to take a break from all tamagotchis for a bit.

Just a quick note. My ocean died a while back right before he should've evolved into an adult. Stopped raising it after that last time.

Tamagotchi 4U+:
Started my 4U+ back up. I only raised 2 generations on it so far and have 2 Tamatomo stamps. My first gen I raised a Lovesoratchi and my 2nd was a Orenetchi. I left off with Orenetchi who was ready to marry. He married a Memetchi and I started the 3rd generation. Ended up with a male baby Gaotchi my 3rd male in a row. He later evolved into Nyokinyotchi the bamboo shoot child. I also chaged the background to a tropical island one.

I figured I'd start this version since theres only 12 adults on it. Won't take long to complete it and get all 12 Tamatomo stamps. Theres also dlc characters you can download but I'll do those after completing the main adults. I think you can get special items once you've collected all 12 Tamatomo stamps from each adult. Not sure I'll have to look it up.

Pocket Puppy:
Few days ago I found an old virtual pet I used to have as a child on ebay for cheap so I bought it. Its a Pocket Puppy from Cool Tec. It just arrived in the mail yesterday. I thought I had the instructions for it but but after taking a look at them I realized there for another virtual pet I had as a child that I completely forgot I ever owned. It was for a Nano Puppy Family pet. Which is two separate pets that link together like the Osu&mesu. I'll have to try to find them on ebay sometime.

Onto the Pocket Puppy. I did a test run last night just to figure things out. Was a little confusing but I think I understand it now. Started my actual run of it today. But before I talk about that I want to do a little review of it.

When you start it you can pick from 1 of 4 dogs (2 male & 2 female) each dog has different stats:
*Puppy 1 - Male, strong willed and angry, very smart, bad temperament, health ok.
* Puppy 2 - Male, happy, not so smart, very happy, health not so.
* Puppy 3 - Female, sickly, very smart, happy, poor health.
* Puppy 4 - Female, dumb, very happy, health ok.
After that you can name your dog and start caring for it. Unlike most virtual pets this one never changes its appearance. It also has a scoring system for how you take care of it. You earn points for various things.

There are 6 main status bars on the menu and 3 others. Here they are in order and how many points it takes to fill each:
1. Brightness: (0-7) How many tricks your pet learned.
2. Happy: (0-7)
3. Health: (0-7)
4. Hungry: (0-7)
5. Over/Under Weight: (0-7) Anything over 4 is overweight and anything under is underweight.
6. Sleep: (0-7) Can take naps during the day.
7. Age
8. Weight
9. Score

You also have to potty train your puppy. Shortly after feeding him he'll start sniffing around. As soon as he squats on the floor you need to press a button to potty train. You'll have to do this a certain number of times depending on the puppy before its fully potty trained. Once it is you can take it on walks and it will go to the bathroom then. You can also do tricks you've tought him while on walks. Another thing to note is you should always give him water whenever you feed him.

I picked the 1st puppy. Hes strong willed and angry, very smart, bad temperament, with ok health. I named him Spot. Caring for him was pretty easy. Managed to catch him going to the bathroom once. The puppy I picked only needs to be potty trained 3 times out of 8 before hes fully potty trained. His stats when he went to bed were: Brightness 0, Happy 7, Health 4, Hungry 7, Over/Under Weight 5, Sleep 0, 0yrs, 86 lbs, Score 0.

Tamagotchi 4U+:
Still have the child Nyokinyotchi. The 4U+ doesn't have a teen stage it goes right to adult and I don't remember at what age it will evolve. I've met the requirements for 2 diffrent adults right now. The 4U+ doesn't just use care misses to determine which adult you'll get. Plus the fact theres only 12 adults its possibe to not meet any requirements. In that case you'll get a random adult. I couldn't decide on my next adult so I did the requirements for Kuchipatchi (Have 10+ Cooking skill points & Weight 60g or more) and Spacytchi (Eat Curry Rice 5 times). So I'm not sure which of those two I'll get.

Few hours later he evolved into Spacytchi. I got his first 3 happy symbols then gave him 5 baths to change him into one of his post-adult forms Shinning Spacytchi.

Pocket Puppy:
Yesterday I was successfully able to fully potty train him so now he can go on walks. I missed 2 times then got the next two in time to potty train him. I also taught him his first trick. He learned how to sit. His stats for last night were: Brightness 1, Happy 7, Health 4, Hungry 5, Over/Under Weight 5, Sleep 7, Age 0, 174 lbs, Score 1,350.

Todays been pretty easy with him. He turned 1 year old this morning and a little birthday screen appeared. His status bars barely ever go down. It seems to be a very easy virtual pet. Only time you really have to keep an eye on it is when your trying to potty train it. But even thats kinda predictable since he goes to the bathroom shortly after you feed him. The animations on this are kinda slow and you have to let them finish or else what you did wont count. If you press a button to skip an animation it usually doesn't count what you just did. Another issue with it is it doesn't always let you fill the status bars. The hungry bar could be at 5 out of 7 but it might not let you feed him. Same issue with health. Sleep is easy to fill just have him take 7 naps during the day. Each nap last a hour and you'll get +1 point to sleep. Brightness fills for each trick you teach. Theres only 4 tricks each one becomes available after a certain amount of days. The first trick only got +1 to brightness so with only 4 tricks I'm not sure how you can get the Brightness to a max of 7. Other than all that you can just let this pet go and only check it once in a while. You can leave it alone for hours and it will be fine.
