2/1/18Video Games - Monster Rancher 2:Discovered this special monster called Sueki Suezo. He only lives for 1 week so you can only do a single thing with him before he dies. He starts off very high stats with maxed life and defense, 300's for power/int/ski, and only 1 in speed. He looks exactly like a regular Suezo but is a Suezo/??? breed. The only way to get him is from using the first monster rancher game at the shrine. Using gameshark to get him doesn't work. It will just give you a regular stat Suezo but luckily I found out I can do the disc swapping on my phone. Sueki Suezo is useful for a couple reasons. You can use him to win some E/D rank battles for extra cash, use him to combine, or take advantage of his 1 week lifespan to easily unlock the couple breeds that require a monster to die to unlock them. Used a couple Sueki Suezos to beat some battles. After the first one died I built the shrine for dead monsters around the 4th of August, year 1004. I'll have to occasionally upgrade it but after a couple years I'll unlock the Ghost breed. Also got a message on the 1st week of July, year 1005 about the Mock seed I planted. Colt said the seed has already been germinated and that she hopes it'll grow big. Also spent some money to upgrade my barn and unlocked the Golem and Baku breeds. Left off with 72,440 gold but before I go blowing all my money I want to test out some of these training methods and see how good they are. I'm going to start a new MR2 save file and use the infinite money gameshark code and test it out.

2/9/18MGA Micro-Dino:Started up my old Micro-Dino I got as a child. I still remember getting it from a RadioShack when I was younger. The gameplay on this vpet isn't too bad. It's a little similar to the original tamagotchi. The status screen has Age/Weight then 3 meters (Hungry, Happy, and Discipline). Ageing is the same as on Tamagotchi but weight is completly diffrent. It seems weight just goes up at certain points of its growth. Feeding it doesn't increase weight and playing games doesn't decrease it. Not sure if weight is the same every run or if how you care for it affects it. Rather than using 4 hearts like tamagotchi, the Hungry, Happy, and Discipline meters are a large meter that fills by 1 pixel everytime you do one of those actions. You can also discipline whenever, the meter slowly decreases just like the others. From what I've found online it has 6 characters (1 baby, 1 child, 1 teen, and 3 adults). It evolves into a child at 1 year old, a teen at 3 years old, then an adult at 6 years old. I plan on making a growth chart the issue is just trying to figure out what determines growth. Overall it's a fun vpet there's just 2 main flaws. The first flaw is its sleep schedule it goes to bed very late and gets up early. It sleeps from 11pm-7am at the baby stage not sure if it's the same for the others. The second flaw is how big the meters are. It's not too bad if your constantly checking them but if you let them empty too much it will take a while to fill them. You can't skip animations which is another pain. This combined with the late sleep schedule usually means every morning the meters will be around half full taking a while to refill. When feeding him you have a option of a drink or meal. Not sure what you choose matters. I'm a little confused on this. I've found 2 instruction manuals online for the Micro-Dino but I'm not sure if they apply to this exact vpet. The one says when feeding one is a healthy food and the other is a pet treat. So far I've just gone back and forth between the two foods. The minigame is the same as the Tamagotchi P1 you just select which direction you think the dino will face. After starting him there was a animation of him hatching. It kinda looks like he's popping in and out of a crater but maybe it's suppose to be a egg. The sprites and animations on this are so cute. He walks back and forth from a few screens then stops at a palm tree before turning around.

2/13/18I recently ordered the Sumikko Gurashi pet. It's in color and looks adorable. Haven't seen much info on the gameplay yet but I wanted it regardless. This one was the price of a color tama about $65. This one doesn't come out until 3/24/18 so I'll be waiting a while for this one. MGA Micro-Dino:My little dino evolved into a child on the 10th. He looks a tiny bit bigger and now hops around. Yesterday on the 12th he became a teen at 3 years old. He's now larger and has went back to walking rather than hopping. Today he's 4 years old and 25g. I also discovered a little shortcut when playing the minigame. When feeding and disciplining each action only fills 1 pixel of the meter. But when playing games each time you correctly guess the direction he faces it seems to fill happy by 1. So for each game you can fill more than 1 pixel of the meter depending on how many correct guesses you got. The shortcut I discovered was a quicker way to fill happiness by 1. All you have to do is start the game and once you get your first correct guess exit out of the game. You'll still increase happiness even though you didn't finish the minigame.

2/16/18MGA Micro-Dino:My little dino evolved into a adult at age 6. He became a pterodactyl who may be the worst care adult. Though I'm not completely sure but on the only chart I found he was on the bottom. I love this character so much. Godzilla Vpet:Yesterday I started up my Godzilla virtual pet I got as a child. It's missing the battery cover so I had to use tape and make something to hold the batteries in place. Hope this works. The meters on this are the same as the MGA Micro-Dino and so is most of the functions. Only difference is it keeps refusing to either eat or play the game. It only let's me do one of those at a time so I have to keep checking back until it finally let's me fill the other meter. It also has a extra icon which I assume is just to check if it needs anything. When he poops it doesn't show on screen but when I click this icon it let's me know if anything needs cleaned.

2/18/18MGA Micro-Dino:He passed away this morning at 9 yrs 37g. Apparently they only live to 9 years old no matter what. That was also on the growth chart. Godzilla Vpet:He finally changed today at 3 years 21g. Found someone in the tama groups that has the instructions for this pet so she sent me screenshots. Apparently there's a schedule to when you can feed or play with him which is pretty stupid. It also shows all the growth stages. It has a set growth path and doesn't evolve into multiple characters. If I understand the growth chart properly it has a baby, child, teen, adult, oldie/death stage. It looks like it has a different form/character right before it dies like a evil or angry Godzilla form. Video Games - Monster Rancher 2:Finally got off my ass and tested out one of the training methods I found online. It worked VERY well...I actually beat the Big 4 and got Master rank with the Zuum I tested it on. Lol Now to do it on my main game. The method I used was pretty expensive as it uses a item each week. It also doesn't require you to rest your monster at all and shouldn't reduce any lifespan. It cost 1,300 for a month and it will cost 15,600 per year. Here it is: Food - Tablets Items - NO/ML/NO/ML Drills - HD/LD/HD/LD NO - Nuts Oil ML - Mint Leaf LD - Light Drill HD - Hard Drill Here's the Zuum I ended up with. The first image is right after training and the second is after beating S rank. It's going to cost 78,000 for 5 years and I only have like 72,000 gold on my main file so I might try to get some more money first. Zuums maximum lifespan is a little over 9 years so I should be able to get like 4 years to do whatever after training him. The only downside to how I trained this test Zuum is he has awful INT. So he will be completely useless for expeditions and there's a bunch of monsters I need to unlock through expeditions. There's 3 stats that matter during expeditions. High power helps destroy obstacles, Intelligence helps find items, and life let's you explore longer. I'll have to raise another monster just for expeditions. My current plan is to raise the Zuum using this method, use him to make tons of money, then raise a monster just for expeditions.
