12/8/20Animal Crossing: New HorizonsDecember is here and here's some of the items the winter update added. They various toys are currently available and some of the others won't be available till later. December brought the last fish I needed in order to complete my fish encyclopedia. All I needed was a Pond Smelt which I easily caught then donated it to the Museum. The next day I got a letter in the mail with the Golden Rod DIY. I now have 4 of 6 golden tool DIYs. Just need 2 more! December also brings the final bug I need too the dung beetle. But I'll need to wait until the 11th when the snow starts in ACNH. So in a few days I'll have the golden net too. All that will be left is getting the golden shovel which I need to help Gulliver (not including Gullivarrr) 30 times. December 3rd was my birthday and I was greeted to a surprise birthday party by my favorite villager Lobo. I got a ton of items from the birthday set and even completed the set. Usually you only get 1 birthday set item and then a handful of cupcakes that you can then share with villagers for more gifts. Normally you just get random fruniture by sharing your cupcakes but I ended up getting all birthday set items. Apparently if you have max friendship with a villager they will give you a guaranteed item from the birthday set. I have max friendship with everyone as I've been working on collecting photos of every villager who lives on my island. I had 2 new villagers moving in on my birthday so I was only able to get 8 extra birthday set items.

12/16/20Animal Crossing: New HorizonsThe snow started on the 11th which I was looking forward to. Everything looks so nice in the snow the trees and bushes have a pretty icy teal color. The first thing I did was catch the dung beetle and donate it to finish off my bug collection and buy exhibit at the museum. The next day I recieved the golden net DIY in the mail. Now to get that golden shovel DIY to complete my gold tool collection. I then started on making the perfect snowmen each day. When you build a perfect snowman you'll get a DIY and you will also get a large snowflake every day until the snowman melts. Theres a nook mile mission called Snowmaestro that requires you to build 20 perfect snowmen. Theres 15 DIYs to get so by the time I complete the Snowmaestro mission I should have everything. Luckily building perfect snowmen is easy in New Horizons. In past games it was a nightmare...in fact I dont even think I finished getting all the items in New Leaf... I am horrible at guessing wether the size is right or not. Theres a trick you can do that will measure the snowballs for you. What you do is place a strip of path 10 spaces long. Then you roll both snowballs as big as possible and place one at each end of the path. Then finally you roll one along the path onto the other snowball and you get a perfect snowman. I started redesigning my island (again) here's what I have done so far. I really hate designing in ACNH its too overwhelming for me. Plus I'm always so indecisive and never happy with what I decide on. There were 2 new DIY sets to get from balloons. The first was Snowflake set of 7 DIYs. To craft these (and the snowmen DIYs) you need snowflakes which you can catch with a net floating around and the large snowflakes from the snowmen. The second set from balloons was the Ornament set of 14 DIYs. To craft these you need red, blue, and gold ornaments. You can get ornaments by shaking cedar trees that have Christmas lights on them. Unlike the fall where you shook trees for pinecone/acorns and got a ton of tree branches, these trees will only drop ornaments. So it was much easier to stock up which is good because some of the items in this set look gorgeous. I love the rainbow customized illuminated tree.

12/25/20
This Christmas was just a catch up year. With everything going on in the world there wasn't much new stuff coming out so I was able to buy some games I previously skipped over. I didn't get any tamagotchi stuff besides the Nintendo Wii game since I'm pretty much caught up on Tamagotchis. There are a few older tamagotchis I could've gotten but it can wait. I'm still waiting on the Japanese eshop card to come so I can buy MR and MR2 on the Switch.
Yoshi's Crafted World (Switch) Monster Rancher (Switch) Monster Rancher 2 (Switch) Tamagotchi Party On (Wii) Monster Rancher 3 (PS2) Monster Rancher EVO (PS2) Super Bust-A-Move 2 (PS2) Grafitti Kingdom (PS2) Yokai Watch 3 (3DS) Yokai Watch Blasters Red Cat Corps (3DS) 208 in 1 Super Combo (DS)
They got me something I wasn't expecting which was the 208 in 1 Super Combo for Nintendo DS. Its a unofficial game cartridge with 208 Nintendo DS games on it. It has some games on it that I already own and would like to replay but I dont want to delete my save file. So this is perfect now I can (eventually) replay them again. Some of the good games on it are Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Sky, Pokemon SoulSilver/Heart Gold, Pokemon Black/White, Pokemon Black2/White2, Pokemon Conquest, Digimon World Dawn/Dusk. It also has a handful of Mario, Kirby, Final Fantasy, Harvest Moon games along with some others I might check out sometime.

12/28/20Animal Crossing: New HorizonsThe Toy Day event was incredibly easy. You didn't need to figure out what each villager wanted like in New Leaf. All you had to do was talk to every villager and deliver a present. But before I could do that Jingle needed help getting some Festive wrapping paper which he gave me the DIY and asked me to craft 3. After returning that to him he gave me the Santa's magic bag and sent me to deliver presents to everyone. After completing that he gave me a Gift Pile DIY and a Toy Day sleigh. He also gave me a Toy Day stockings and told me to put them up and check them on Christmas morning. Which I checked the next day and got Jingle's photo.

12/31/20Animal Crossing: New HorizonsI celebrated New Years in Animal Crossing with Victoria and Julia. Victoria TTed a few hours ahead so we could do the event early because the fuck are any of us actually staying up all night. Isabelle gave us a light stick to wave around and Tom Nook was selling hats. Theres 2 types of hats he could sell the New Year's hat and the New Year's silk hat. Each comes in 8 different colors. Nook will only sell 1 type of hat tho and only offer 4 colors. So you will need to trade or do the New Years event at least 4 years to get them all. I got both types of hats with 4 colors each. I'm not too worried about getting the other colors since I got the colors I liked the best. Starting January 1st to January 16th there will be a bunch of various New Year items to buy at the Nook shopping seasonal section.
