2/10/21 Part 1Tiny Farm:Tiny Farm just had a huge update and basically committed suicide. So many changes to the features along with a shit ton of glitches and long loading times. They said they made improvements but they didn't...they made changes but I definitely wouldn't call these improvements. Its so bad they actually gave away like 2,500 bells as compensation. In the next 2 post I'll go over some of the changes but theres alot more than this. 1. Higher quality animals graphics: They increased the animal graphics and they are of much better quality even when zoomed in. The game has actually become lighter with optimization process. The game size, which was over 1GB+ including the additional data, has now been decreased by half. 2. Removal of features: They removed a lot of features and changed some others. The effect system, changing animals appearance, taming, and the minigames have all been removed. 3. Map Size Increase: All maps are now upgraded the same way and can be upgraded bigger than before. No longer do certain maps like Toy Village and Secret Valley have their own unique ways of upgrading. 4. Cooking Modifications: They seem to be pushing the cooking feature more now. No longer are spice required to cook dishes which is good because it was a massive money sinkhole at 3k gold per spice. Spices are now optional and give the chance at making multiples. 5. New Cooking Ingredients: There are 10 new basic cooking ingredients which are water, oil, milk, butter, cheese, egg, beef, pork, chicken, and lamb. You can get these guaranteed by giving love to friends animals or by your own animals with a fixed chance when you feed them. Which ingredient you get depends on the animal. Tier 1-3 Animals - Nothing Talking Animals - 1 of 8 ingredients based on species Heroic Animals - 1 of 8 ingredients based on species Legendary Animals - Oil Current Event Animals - Event ingredients Older Event Animals - Water 6. Farmer’s Association: You can sell specific dishes here to make money. What dishes you can sell change from time to time. 7. New Stand Building: You can sell your ingredients to other players here. 8. Heroic Animal Changes: You can now own multiple of the same heroic animal to make collecting ingredients easier. As a result their stats have been lowered.

2/10/21 Part 2Tiny Farm:Tiny Farm1. Adventurer’s Cabin Renewal: The Adventurer’s Cabin has also been simplified! You’ll be able to manage everything in one screen. The limit on the number of animals you can send on adventures and the grade limit have been removed. Go on various adventures with more animals! Tiny Beach1. Trading Center Dish Trade Function Removed: The dish trading function will be added to the Farmer's Association System. Toy Village1. Map Upgrade Method Modification: The areas that were divided in the block-form will be provided as a standard. The cost used to upgrade will be refunded. Tiny Zoo1.Name Change: Tiny Zoo was created to try a new concept for Tiny Farm, which was inspired by the fresh and free grasslands of the Alps, but the idea of keeping animals in a cage was a little uncomfortable. Now, the name has been changed to Tiny Safari so the animals can go on adventures freely. 2. Cage System Removed: The cage system has been removed and the animals are now free to go anywhere. A new snowball production building will be given in exchange for the cages you installed previously. Secret Valley1. Map Upgrade Method Modification: The areas that were divided into small blocks will now be opened to be provided as a standard. The newly added areas will expand just like Tiny Farm. 2. Secret Valley Sanctum System Modification: The complicated Sanctum Point System has been removed. The Sanctum Blessing function has been removed and the Sanctum has been converted into a normal production building with the production function that matches the previous blessing. Turtle Island1. Turtle Island Top Shell Shop Removed: The Top Shell Shop has been removed to make animal acquisition simpler. The animals that were available from the Top Shell Shop will be available from the Trading Center now.

2/22/21Animal Crossing: New HorizonsThe Festival event happened earlier this month on the 15th and it introduced some cool new items. After checking in with Pavé outside the residence services he gave me a Rainbow Feather DIY and requested I bring him more feathers. You can find the. feathers floating around your island that come in 5 colors: red, blue, green, purple, and rainbow. Rainbow are the rarest and can also be crafted by combining 1 of the other 4 colors. You can give Pavé 1 rainbow feathers or 3 of a plain color to get a random Festival item with the coloration of the feather you gave. There are 9 items in the Festival set along with a 10th bonus prize, a Festival Float. You can obtain the float after getting all the other items and then exchanging 3 rainbow feathers. Some of the Festival items I really like and look like they will have plenty of uses when designing. I love the Festival Garland, Festival Balloon Lamp, and Festival Confetti Machine. I spent the entire day of the event grinding for extra Festival items. The garlands are similar to a fence so I made sure to get as many of those as possible. I spent a good 6+ hours grinding feathers. We just recently had a Nintendo Direct that provide news on the upcoming Mario items available starting on March 1st. The biggest surprise from the news was about the Warp Pipe fruniture item. You can place 2 of these down and actually use them to teleport between locations! If you place more than 2 then a location will be chosen randomly from them. This item is going to be a staple in every island from now on probably. You could even place one pipe down at a important location then keep the other in your inventory. That way you could drop it down at any time to teleport back to the location. March 20th will also be the 1 year anniversary of ACNH. Hoping we get some big new features (like minigames!) but I guess we'll see. They haven't said anything about doing anything special for the anniversary so who knows. It will also be interesting to see what the future updates for ACNH contain now that all the major holidays and events have been added. How about better fruniture?.....just gimmie that Pocket Camp fruniture already!

4/6/21Animal Crossing: New HorizonsWell the 1st anniversary of ACNH came and went and its now April. We did get a new update but its content was a bit underwhelming. Heres what the update contained: • Added 50 new pattern slots for both regular and pro patterns • Added customizable Face cutouts, fans, and umbrellas • Custom Design Portal app • Bunny Day returns with 5 new items • New Nook Stop Seasonal items (April Fools, Prom, ect) • New feature on the Nintendo Switch Online App (Nook Points) There was also a Sanrio update that added back in the 6 Sanrio themed collaboration villagers and fruniture sets. Still waiting on big new features to be added like minigames. Still complaining about how Pocket Camp gets all the good shit while NH gets crappy hand me downs from past AC games or incredibly basic new items. I just want the high quality fancy fruniture from Pocket Camp in NH....is that asking too much? This game desperately needs more big fruniture items too. When they were promoting the game before it released they used a lot of big fruniture to show off how awesome the game is gonna be...then NH releases and surprise the teacup ride, giant robot, and godzillia are like the only big items. Like why do players have to resort to using patterns on items to make optical illusions (all of which look like shit dont kid yourself) when PC has most of this shit as actual fruniture. All these fake castles, houses, caves...just everything looks terrible. Nothing like slapping a flat custom pattern on a panel and being like "look a train!". Or on the ground like "Check out this flat flower bed". Nothing ruins the illusion like a flat texture that what its slapped onto doesn't even line up correctly. In other news I *finally* finished designing my island and I'll do a more indepth update on it sometime soon. I got tired of the frustration and anxiety of designing and pulled a Bowser move from Mario Galaxy.

9/20/21This was definitely unexpected. Koei Tecmo just announced a ENGLISH port of the first 2 Monster Rancher games called Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX. It will be a bit different than the Japanese ports that were recently released. The DX port will have new additions like double monster freezer slots and a training record to keep track of what you've done. Can't wait for this to come out. The file I started on the Japanese Switch port of the game is as good as dead. This game is far better in English. I found the Japanese one a bit harder because you can easily miss the "your monster isn't ok" messages by not speaking Japanese. I'll just have to start over and recollect all that money I grinded for in the Japanese game. While on the subject of English translations/ports I'm just gonna drop this teaser here. Another game I love. Loved it so much I bought a Japanese 3DS solely to play this years back then ended up buying a second copy of the game last year or so. It first started on the Gameboy color with Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 Cobi's Journey/Tara's Adventure. I played the crap out of this one. It then got a updated release on PS1 in Japan with updated graphics which I didn't even knew existed for the longest time and I still have yet to fully play this version. Then in 2014 a Nintendo 3D3 remake of it came out called Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Iru and Luca's Marvelous Mysterious Key. The 3DS remake had a lot of changes including altered story, completely diffrent monster roster, altered features, and many other differences. Just this week I learned about another port this time of the 3DS remake called Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Iru and Luca's Marvelous Mysterious Key SP. Its available on mobile phones but only in Japan...and its a paid app. So unfortunately I can't figure out a way to get it. It features some new additions and monsters. But honestly who cares about the mobile version ...not when I got my hands on a English version! While the original Gameboy color game was in English none of the other ports/remasters/remakes of this has been released outside of Japan. Luckily the Dragon Quest fanbase loved it enough to make a full fan translation of it. Now I won't need to constantly be searching through online guides in Japanese trying to figure out how to breed specific monsters or get specific moves. This is a game that you definitely want to play in a language you understand especially since any monster can have any move and the monster breeding is very indepth.
